Nation defines the new restrictions and analyzes extending them to the provinces

For these hours, The national government defines the new sanitary measures that will govern from this Saturday and that could be extended outside the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), that is to say, towards the rest of the provinces. This, taking into account the concern that was manifested in the meeting that President Alberto Fernández held with the governors remotely this week.

In the second meeting that Fernández had with the provincial leaders, they agreed on the need to continue and deepen a restriction of circulation, something in which the Head of Government of Buenos Aires Horacio Rodríguez Larreta even agreed, who said he was “in agreement with everything we can do to restrict mobility” while acknowledging the positive effect of the measures taken by the Government, despite not complying with the virtuality of the classes.

The President, who had already spoken with the governors of the great north and with the governor of San Juan, Sergio Uñac, now did so with ten governors of the center and south of the country, to whom he asked: “If we agree to restrict circulation, they have to accompany me in complying with the rules.”

According to the newspaper Ámbito, the official announcement of the new DNU will be made tomorrow Friday and the official text would extend the measures for another 15 days.

Among the new measures is the return to a “managed presence” in the classrooms from this Monday at the AMBA. Regarding the restrictions on circulation, the Government assures that the schedule from 20 to 6 would remain in force, although some sources assured that it is analyzing to advance the prohibition of circulation at 18.

Modifications will focus on recreational activities and there will also be an increase in entry and exit controls to the City of Buenos Aires.

“You have to see how we help each other to enforce the restrictions. Not only do you have to take care of yourself at night, you have to take care of yourself during the day. The virus does not come out at 8 pm, it is there all day. You have to remember that care must also be during the day, you have to do this teaching task with society, “he told the governors.

The agenda for defining measures will continue today at the AMBA when, on the one hand, Kicillof receives Buenos Aires mayors and Rodríguez Larreta does the same with his Cabinet. In addition, there will be a new contact (this time by telephone) between the Chief of the National Cabinet, Santiago Cafiero, and his Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires counterparts, Carlos Bianco and Felipe Miguel, who already had a meeting on Tuesday.
