UFC 261: Valentina Shevchenko defeated Jéssica Andrade and retained flyweight title | VIDEO

Valentina Shevchenko once again retained the UFC women’s flyweight title, this time against Jéssica Andrade. He did so in the third fight of the UFC 261 main card, held at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

The ‘Bala’ showed superiority from the start and finished off his new rival at 3 minutes, 19 seconds into the second round of the fight. The referee decided to declare her the winner by knockout when she attacked the Brazilian’s head with her elbows on the canvas, after sliding into the crucifix position.

Shevchenko thus added a fifth consecutive successful defense of the belt he owns since December 8, 2018. He now has the most wins in UFC flyweight history with his seventh win over the Octagon.

“I like to surprise people. They don’t expect this from me, but here I am. I can do everything, ”said the Peruvian nationalized fighter after defeating Jéssica Andrade, who had just defeated Katlyn Chookagian in October last year.

“Are the opponents trying to discover one of my weaknesses? Don’t waste your time. There aren’t any, ”Valentina added defiantly.
