The GNR ended today with an illegal party with more than 70 people that was taking place in a nightclub in Sintra, in the district of Lisbon, in disregard of the rules to combat the covid-19 pandemic, the military said.
In a statement, the GNR clarified that following a complaint that the discotheque was working, the military immediately moved to the venue, confirming that it was an illegal party.
In the course of the action, a police operation was launched to identify the people who were present and stop the event, and it was possible to identify 71 citizens in breach of the general duty of home collection”, Said the note.
Also according to GNR, the respective infraction records were collected and 22 doses of hashish and five doses of methamphetamines were seized.
The authorities also identified the owner of the discotheque, a 33-year-old man, and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Sintra.
The covid-19 pandemic caused at least 3,088,103 deaths worldwide, resulting from more than 145.5 million cases of infection, according to a report made by the French agency AFP.
