“The Box Without Measures” de Leonel Figueiredo e Sofia Rodrigues

Perceiving the void as a space that carries something only in the eyes of the most attentive, memory here acquires a box without measures. “In a world where boxes full of content drift, lost and without purpose, two collide, causing a rupture of the same, so everything intertwines, the initial place of things, is lost and there is no way to know where they belong“. It is in an attempt to correct what happened and put everything back in this box, that we find ourselves in this box without measures.

A collection that portrays the unconscious life we live, affected by the memories that shape us. To lose these memories would be to lose the notion of being and our whole existence as individuals. It is still present in this collection, a liberation from our inner child, from the infantile part that represents innocence, joy and fun, made possible by the nostalgic memories of childhood.

“Resilience” by Catarina Serra and Miriam Catão

Invoking the individual’s ability to deal with obstacles and face problems, adapting to changes and resisting the pressure of adverse situations, the creators created a collection that portrays the temporal passage between the 16th and 21st centuries.

Through volumes, balloon-shaped sleeves, frills, lace and high collar, characteristic of an obscure romanticism present in the Victorian era, an evolutionary narrative is constructed at an interpersonal and historical level, from the Victorian era and Romanticism, to the future of masses where an atmosphere of agitation prevails.
